Early on the third morning we left the waters of Ibiza and sailed over to the Island of Fomentera.
Waking up to a long stretch of white sand and crystal clear turquoise water, we had the beach all to ourselves with only a few other sail boats to share the natural harbour with.
The area of Esplamador is protected due to it’s large variety of flora and fauna living there. There are no restaurants, houses or shops on the northern part of the island, which makes for a very peaceful location for our morning yoga practice.
With such an idyllic location, I couldn’t resist setting up a camera to document our morning yoga. Apologies for the quality of the photos, but I was using my iPhone on the time-lapse setting. If you haven’t played around with this setting yet, you must...watch the full length video over on Instagram.
Here are a few stills from our relaxing morning!
Feeling a little adventurous and now more settled into our yoga retreat, Dipa showed us a series of partner head stands. Mostly they ended up in complete carnage, with us all covered in sand. But I managed to grab my camera in time to document one.
As the day progressed, a few more boats joined, but it didn’t ruin this paradise island.
After heating up during our hot yoga session, we all opted to swim back to the boat to cool off and had a leisurely snorkel to take a look at all the amazing fish.
‘What is missing from this perfect day‘, I hear you ask? Yes you guessed it… a summer BBQ!
Corgette, red pepper and goats cheese skewers, all of which were perfectly cooked on the boat BBQ! YUM!
With a view like this, you could easily mistake it for the Caribbean right?
That afternoon I officially met the man with the best job in the world…
Introducing you to The Mojito Man!
Mojito man arrived at our boat, bringing with him plenty of crushed ice, fresh strawberries, tons on mint and of course lots of rum!
He climbed aboard and set about making us a round of cocktails whilst entertaining us with his celebrity stories. He’s not cheap mind you, but you are paying for the novelty factor (and the Spanish charm)
If you are in Ibiza this summer, make sure to keep an eye out for The Mojito Man!
We couldn’t let him go without a couple of selfies!
