The Detailed World Pinboard Map
I’ve spent hundreds of hours drawing this second edition of my bestselling original map design to pack in much more detail. Along with splitting the USA, Canada, and Australia into individual states and provinces, I’ve added loads more tiny islands and labels right across the globe. Made from
I’ve spent a long time sourcing materials that feel as good as they look. I don't use anything that won't stand the test of time, because I want your map to be a lifelong record of your travels.
- Sustainably sourced wood
I only work with suppliers who hold FSC certifications. This means the wood for my frames comes from forests that are being protected and replanted. - The best quality paper
I use 189gsm Epson paper for a smooth, non-reflective finish. It makes the colours look rich and deep on your wall. - Fade-resistant inks
I print every map with archival-quality inks. This ensures your memories stay bright and clear for years to come. - The perfect pinning base
I mount your map onto a sturdy 5mm foam board. It provides a smooth surface that makes pushing your pins in feel really satisfying. - Your choice of frame
I work with expert framers in England to offer two different styles. My Standard Frame (No Glazing) is an open design, which is the easiest option for pinning new adventures as you go. My Glazed Box Frame uses a premium plexiglass that has high UV resistance and won’t yellow over time. It is much tougher than standard plastic and very hard to scratch. I’ve made the back of the box frame easy to remove so you can still update your map whenever you like. - Clever packaging
I’ve perfected my boxes to make sure your map arrives in one piece. They use a "crumple-zone" design that keeps the frame suspended and safe during its journey to you.
Delivery & returns
I make every map to order just for you. It takes a bit of time to get the details right, but I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
- How long it takes
It usually takes about 7 days for me to design, hand-make and deliver your map to your door. If you’ve asked to see a proof, I’ll have your map delivered within 7 days of you approving the artwork. - Shipping and tracking
I use Royal Mail, DPD, or DX for my deliveries. I’ll send you a tracking link as soon as your map is out the door so you can follow its journey. I ship worldwide, though overseas orders will take a little longer to arrive. - If there’s a problem
I take great care with every order, but if something isn’t right, please let me know within 24 hours of delivery. Email me at hello@louisaelizabeth.com with your order number and a few photos of the map and the packaging. I’ll do my absolute best to solve it for you quickly. - Returns
Because every map is uniquely made for you, I can’t accept returns. If there is an issue, please just reach out and I will do everything I can to put it right.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the right size for me?
I only offer this detailed map in Large A1 and XL A0. I do this to make sure all the tiny labels and state lines stay clear and easy for you to pin. The A1 size is a brilliant fit for most rooms, but if you have a big wall to fill or a lot of adventures to track, I’d go for the A0. It makes a real statement and gives you all the room you need as your story grows.
Which frame should I choose?
It really comes down to how you’ll use the map. If you want to add new pins every time you get home from a trip, my Standard Frame (No Glazing) is the easiest. If you want a high-end, protected look for a map you won't update as often, the Glazed Box Frame is the best fit.
Do the pins come with my map?
Yes, I include a starter set of pins with every order so you can get started as soon as it arrives. If you want a specific colour or need more for a big trip, you can find extra sets in my shop.
What if I want to change my personalisation?
If you're at all unsure about your title, I’d always suggest selecting the "Request a Proof" option. This gives us a chance to get it exactly right before I print anything. If you’ve already placed your order and need to change something, please email me straight away. I often start work on the designs quite quickly, so the sooner I know, the better.
Is it easy to hang?
I make sure every frame arrives with the fixings already attached to the back. It means your map is ready to go on the wall the moment you’ve finished unpacking it.
